In the Footsteps of the Prophet (saw): Imam Nawawi's 40 Ahadith
December 15th and 16th
at Nida-ul-Islam, 250 Hargreaves Ave, Teaneck, NJ 07666
Description:
A Weekend in the Footsteps of Rasulullah. A selection of Imam Nawawi’s 40 Ahadith (Arba’een) will be covered in depth by Mufti Abdur-Rahman ibn Yusuf
Time:
10am on Saturday, December 15th. to 3pm on Sunday, December 16th.
Cost:
All participants are encouraged to pay $15 to cover the cost of class materials and food. . You can pay online using a credit or debit card by selecting the "Registration + Online Payment" option above. If you plan to pay by check or cash, please select "Registration Only" above. Checks can be made to "Nida-ul-Islam" and can be given on the day of the program.
The fee is not a requirement for attending the program, so if you cannot pay the fee you can select "Registration Only" above.
Accommodations:
Brothers can spend the night of December 15th in the masjid. Sisters can be accommodated at a local sister's house.
Food will be served to registered participants.
About Mufti Abdur-Rahman ibn Yusuf
Shaykh Abdur-Rahman completed the bulk of his studies at Darul Uloom Bury, North England, where he memorized the Qur’an and went on to complete a rigorous, six-year Shari‘a program graduating in certifications (ijaza) in the Islamic disciplines, including Arabic, Islamic jurisprudence, Theology, and hadith. He also completed a B.A. with honors in Islamic studies at Rand Afrikaans University, Johannesburg, and continued on to study in Damascus, Syria and Saharanpur, India, where he received formal authorization to issue legal rulings (fatawa). Shaykh Abdur-Rahman as an author and translator has worked on several publications through White Thread Press, among which are Fiqh al-Imam: Key Proofs in Hanafi Fiqh, Provisions for the Seekers (2005), a translation and commentary of the Arabic work Zad al-Talibin, a small collection of short hadiths compiled by Mawlana ‘Ashiq Ilahi from ‘Allama Tabrizi’s Mishkat al-Masabih, and Imam Abu Hanifa’s Al-Fiqh al-Akbar Explained (2007), a translation of Al-Fiqh al-Akbar along with commentaries from Maghnisawi and Qari, one of the first in-depth works on Islamic Creed and Theology in English by a Muslim scholar. Along with this he currently serves as an Imam in Santa Barbara and holds online classes through ZamZam Academy (www.zamzamacademy.com).
